One Shade of Grey | Real Kitchens

About the owners: A young, working couple with a new baby and a love of entertaining friends and family

Project: A complete renovation of a year 2000 house in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland which included knocking through from the dining room to create a large kitchen with a social space

Style: Modern with a nod to traditional/vintage styling achieved by incorporating elements such as shaker style doors and cabinet brass work

Colour scheme: Dark green, grey and off white with brass finishing touches

De'Longhi range cooker: Vintage style, double cavity, slate grey, dual fuel (gas hob and two electric multifunction ovens including grill), 90cm wide

The challenge:

We agonized a lot over choosing a cooker that would fit aesthetically into our new kitchen and although there are plenty on the market with great functionality, they are severely lacking in style.

This is where the DeLonghi Vintage range really stood out. As well, the option to choose it in grey brought an extra edge to our overall kitchen design.

Delonghi’s staff were so helpful answering our queries over the phone which was reassuring given we were not able to view the cooker in person before purchasing. When it arrived, we were delighted as it makes such a stylish addition to our kitchen design, while coming in at a reasonable price point.

We use so many of the different cooker features and it’s really made meal times so much quicker, easier and fun.

What we love most:

The dual fuel option is great, cooking on a gas hob with instant heat is fantastic coupled with the reliability of the electric oven
